Call Recording - C-talk Help
C-talk has a powerful Call Recording facility that can be used for various purposes. We are going to describe three configurations here for you:
Recording ALL Calls (can be both inbound/outbound or either one)
Recording calls automatically for particular phone numbers
All of the Call Recording settings are accessed via the C-talk Portal. Once you login, look for the "Call Recording" link under the Advanced column. If you don't see the Call Recording link, please contact support, as the feature may not be activated for your line/s yet.
Also note: If you have multiple lines/numbers, you may have to repeat the setup on each line/number.
1. Recording ALL Calls
From the Web Portal, click on the Call Recording link.
When the page loads, tick the first option "Enable call recording features..."
In the drop-down menu below, select "Record all of my calls"
It is optional, but recommended to tick the box "Do NOT allow manual recording options during call" - this will prevent you from accidentally pausing/stopping the call recording
The next drop-down menu is important - here you can select whether you wish to record: a. All calls, b. Outbound calls only, or c. Inbound calls only.
The last box is where you put the email address for the recordings to be sent to. Fill it out as the recordings may not go to the correct address otherwise.
Now click "Save Options" button.
Please test to make sure the recordings work as you expect. You should receive the call via email shortly after hanging up from the call.
2. Recording calls for a particular number or group of numbers
From the Web Portal, click on the Call Recording link.
When the page loads, tick the first option "Enable call recording features..."
In the drop-down menu below, select "Only record calls for selected numbers"
In the text box below, list the numbers (with area code and no spaces) that you would like calls recorded for.
It is optional, but recommended to tick the box "Do NOT allow manual recording options during call" - this will prevent you from accidentally pausing/stopping the call recording.
In the next drop-down menu, select "Record calls in both directions" (unless you wish to only record inbound or outbound calls for ALL numbers listed)
The last box is where you put the email address for the recordings to be sent to. Fill it out as the recordings may not go to the correct address otherwise.
Now click "Save Options" button.
Please test to make sure the recordings work as you expect. You should receive the call via email shortly after hanging up from the call (to one of the numbers listed).
