Linksys ATA Configuration guide (PAP2T and SPA2102)
The following guide will help you to configure your LInksys ATA for the C-talk service.
Step One: Accessing the web config page
Make sure the ATA is plugged in to your local network, via the port labelled "Internet". If you have an SPA2102 and are "piggy-backing" a PC or laptop off the ATA, plug your PC or laptop into the "Ethernet" port.
Now you will need to find out what IP address your phone has been given. This assumes you have a network with DHCP (most networks). If you don't, you'll need to assign a static IP to the phone, which is beyond the scope of this document.
To find out the IP address of the ATA, plug an analogue phone into the Phone 1 port on the ATA. Then pickup the phone and dial ****. At the menu prompt, dial 110# - the IP address will be read out to you.
If you have an SPA2102, you may need to enable WAN access to the device. To do this, pickup the phone and dial ****. At the menu prompt, dial 7932#, then at the next prompt press 1# to enable, then 1 again to save. You can now hang up the phone.
Now on your PC (connected to the network also), open up your web browser, and type the IP address in to the address bar and hit Enter (or Go etc).
You should now be at the configuration page for your ATA. Near the top right-hand corner is a link that says "Admin". Click that link. When the page re-loads, click the link beside it that says "Advanced". On the SPA2102, also click "Voice".
Step Two: Configuring the ATA Below are listed the values that you should change from the default values. Any values that are not listed should be left as default. The headings below relate to "tabs" in the configuration web page.
