Welcome to C-talk.co.nz VoIP with service for NZ businesses
Voice Quality and Networking
With your C-talk phone service, there are options to adjust the voice quality of your phone line.
There are two main settings: Good quality and Excellent quality:
Excellent quality is comparable to an analogue phone line, but uses a larger amount of bandwidth (ie. you need a fast internet connection).
Good quality is slightly less "crisp" than excellent quality, but uses much less bandwidth (ie. can be used with internet connections of moderate quality/speed).
You can adjust the settings for your line via the C-talk Web Portal. To do this:
Log in to the portal with the number you wish to adjust.
Click the "Voice Quality and Networking" heading.
Now in this page there is a drop-down menu with four options. In order to force your line & device to use your desired setting, it is recommended to select either "Only allow good quality..." or "Only allow excellent quality.."
It is recommended not to change any other options on this page, unless you know what you are doing
When done, click "Save Options"
NOTE: Sometimes the settings of your phone device/system can interfere with the C-talk settings, and changes may need to be made to your phone setup
